Manitoba bans dog ear cropping
A veterinary medical association in Western Canada announced the ban on, but some breeders warn it could lead to torn floppy ears.Some breeders are alarmists and just want an excuse to perform unnecessary cosmetic surgery on dogs to alter them to look the way they want them to.
Yeah, it COULD lead to torn floppy ears…if you’re still using your dogs as defense against wild animals or in dog fights.
I just feel so sad for all those golden retrievers I see with torn up ears. They just seem to walk through knives and sharp sticks all the time…

Pretty sure the ban doesn’t work on medically necessary cropping. This is about cropping for cosmetic reasons.
